Ajani Portland expects more impact of Covid-19 in Q1FY21

The company had to temporarily close its operations in the state of Telangana from March 23, 2020 to April 29, 2020 due to Covid-19 pandemic.

Anjani Portland Cement Limited informed the exchanges Tuesday that as a result of lock down the production and sales volumes have come down from last week of March 2020 and continued till the resumption as on April 30, 2020 and had been impacted the profit of Q4 and impact of the same will continue to reflect in Profitability of Q1FY21.

“Though the liquidity position has been impacted but is in the nature of short term and will not impact much on company’s ability to service its any kind of financial arrangements as company is not having debts.

The supply has been affected due to closure of transport services and non-production and supply of cement during lock down period,” company said.

The company had to temporarily close its operations in the state of Telangana from March 23, 2020 to April 29, 2020 due to Covid-19 pandemic and it had impact on company’s business in terms of sale coming down. It started its manufacturing operations at its cement plant in state of Telengana from April 30, 2020 after getting direction from the government.
