
In January 2023, Bajaj Auto Ltd's total vehicle sales fell 21% to 2,85,995 units, as compared to 3,63,443 units in the same month previous year.
The previous month saw a significant increase in domestic sales, with a 16% rise to a total of 1,73,270 units compared to January 2022's 1,49,656 units. However, exports saw a sharp drop, declining 47% yoy to reach 1,12,725 units, stated the company in its statement.
In the month of January 2022, Bajaj Auto exported a total of 2,13,787 vehicles to various overseas markets.
According to the statement, total two-wheeler sales fell 25% to 2,41,107 units in January 2023, compared to 3,23,430 vehicles sold in the same month the previous year, with domestic sales increasing 4% to 1,40,428 units and exports falling 46% to 1,00,679 during the period under review over 2022.
Following this development, Bajaj Auto's scrip settled as Rs3,795.05 apiece, down by 0.61% against the previous close of Rs3,818.25 on NSE.
