On Wednesday, Hero MotoCorp announced that starting the following month, the prices of its model lineup will go up by about 2% in order to make up for the increase in production costs necessary to meet tighter emission standards.
The nation’s top two-wheeler manufacturer announced in a statement that the business will increase the ex-showroom prices of several of its motorbikes and scooters starting on April 1, 2023.
The price adjustment will be about 2%, and the precise amount of the increase will depend on the models and markets.
According to the firm, the price adjustment was required mostly owing to cost increases brought on by the switch to OBD 2 (onboard diagnostics).
Hero MotoCorp said it would keep offering creative financing options to lessen the effect on the customers.
The second phase of BSVI is now being worked on by the Indian automotive sector.
Vehicles must have an onboard self-diagnostic system starting on April 1 in order to track the driving emission levels in real-time.
In order to maintain a careful eye on emissions, the gadget will continuously check important components for compliance with emission requirements, such as the catalytic converter and oxygen sensors.
