Lumax-DK Jain Group inaugurates technology centre in Czech Republic

30 Sept 2022 , 01:42 PM

Lumax Industries Limited, a leading Indian manufacturer of automotive lighting systems for the Indian automotive industry with an equity partnership with Stanley Electric Co., Japan, has today inaugurated an advanced lighting technical centre in the Czech Republic.

The company has opened this centre via its wholly-owned subsidiary company, Lumax Industries Czech s.r.o., located in the CTPark industrial zone in Ostrava-Hrabová, Czech Republic. This is the company's first European Technology Centre.

The Lumax European Technical Centre (LETC) was established with the goal of providing future and advanced technological development of automotive lighting systems for the Indian market.

The LETC will be active in the enhancement of engineering capabilities, in addition to the development of the technologies themselves. This involves engineering development procedures, the development of bespoke engineering tools and software, as well as training and skill development.

LETC now has 15 employees, which will be expanded over time with primarily highly experienced engineers, designers, and programmers.

At around 1.41 PM, Lumax Industries was trading at Rs1,617.50 per piece, down by 0.01% from its previous closing of Rs1,617.70 on the BSE. The scrip touched intraday high and low of Rs1,637.95 and Rs1,612.20 respectively.
