Power Grid Corporation to infuse Rs327.71 crore in Jam Nagar transmission line

Power Grid Corporation of India Limited informed that the Board of Directors has accorded their approval for investment in the Transmission project of Jam Nagar, Gujarat Oil Refinery of Reliance Industries Limited (RIL).

The board approved the transaction in their meeting held on September 26, 2022.

The project is to connect the RIL's Jam Nagar Oil Refinery to Jam khambhaliya ISTS PS (Power Grid's pooling station). The company expects to commission the project by September 2023.

As per the company, the estimated cost of the said project is Rs327.71 crore.

Power Grid Corporation of India Limited is an Indian public sector enterprise that primarily transmits bulk power throughout India's several states. It is overseen by the Ministry of Power, Government of India, and is based in Gurugram.

At around 9.51 AM, Power Grid Corporation was trading at Rs204.60 down by 0.15% from its previous closing of Rs204.90 on the BSE. The scrip opened at Rs204.90 and touched intraday high and low of Rs208.40 and Rs204.05 respectively.
