Samsung announced on Thursday that it will manufacture its premium Galaxy S23 smartphones in India to meet local market demand. At the moment, Samsung’s Galaxy S Series smartphones are manufactured in Vietnam and imported for sale in India.
This development comes a day after India’s Finance Minister, Nirmala Sitharaman, announced the removal of duties on the import of camera lenses, which is one of the key unique selling propositions of the Galaxy S series smartphones.
With this move, Samsung is tapping into the growing market potential in India, while also providing consumers with access to high-quality, locally-made smartphones. This move by Samsung is expected to boost the local economy, create jobs, and bring new innovations to the country.
The Galaxy S23 promises to bring cutting-edge technology and sleek design to India’s smartphone market, making it a must-have for tech-savvy consumers.
The company unveiled three Galaxy S23 series smartphones with high-end camera sensors on Wednesday.
The phone will include five sets of cameras with camera sensors ranging from 12-200 megapixels.
The price of the Galaxy S23 series is yet to be announced by the company. Last year’s Galaxy S22 smartphones were priced between Rs 72,999 and Rs 1,18,999 per unit.
