Tata Power EV Charging Solutions Limited (TPEVCSL) announced a collaboration with the Kolkata Airport Authority on Tuesday to install EV charging points at the airport, according to a press release.
On Tuesday, September 26, 2023, four EV chargers (DC-CCS2 and single-gun GB/T chargers) were officially inaugurated.
The Airport Authorities of India and Tata Power have signed a formal agreement to establish charging stations. These chargers are compatible with all-electric vehicles on the market in the country.
According to the company’s statement, the location of these charging stations was carefully planned, with a focus on ease and accessibility for EV customers who commute to the airport or the surrounding area. This careful technique also ensures a smooth charging experience within the airport grounds.
Given the airport’s prominent position as one of the city’s busiest hubs, these chargers are strategically positioned to provide unrivaled convenience to the public, effectively resolving concerns about EV range anxiety,’ according to a press release from the company.
The implementation of EV charging infrastructure in public parking lots not only improves convenience for electric vehicle users but also demonstrates a firm commitment to environmental protection.
