Top 10 stocks for today - 29th August 2022

The Singapore Exchange's Nifty futures traded 391.5 points, or 2.22%, lower at 17,267.5, indicating that the stock market may have a bad start to the week. The following 10 stocks may see movement in their prices today:

  1. Ultratech Cement:

The largest cement producer increased its capacity to 1.8 mtpa by commissioning a 1.3 mtpa cement capacity at Dalla Cement Works in Uttar Pradesh. The capacity expansion's initial phase was announced in December 2020.

  1. NTPC:

The 1,320 MW Talcher Thermal Power Project, Stage-III, would get an investment of Rs11,843.75 crore from the board of the state-run power behemoth.

  1. Reliance Industries:

On Monday, the  company will hold its 45th annual general meeting. The traders will be eagerly awaiting news from the company's chairman Mukesh Ambani regarding the succession plan, future business prospects, and IPOs of the retail and telecom industries.

  1. Fertilizer Stocks:

Beginning in October, all subsidized fertilizers, including urea and DAP, will be sold under the single brand "Bharat," in an effort to ensure farmers have timely access to soil nutrients and cut back on the freight subsidy.

  1. InterGlobe Aviation:

The appointment of three new directors and the reappointment of Anil Parashar as a director were both approved by the shareholders of the aviation player. The parent company of the nation's largest airline, IndiGo, approved the nomination of Air Chief Marshal (Retd) Birender Singh Dhanoa and former Shell India Chairman Vikram Singh Mehta as independent directors at the company's annual general meeting.

  1. Cipla:

For its Goa factory, the pharmaceutical company has already received six observations, some of which are references to those from the inspection in September 2019. Data integrity (DI) observations are absent. From August 16 to August 26, the USFDA inspected the company's Goa plant.

  1. Berger Paints India:

The fully automated paint manufacturing facility near Lucknow is expected to begin production in November according to the paint manufacturer. The cost overrun is the result of the addition of a few new product lines and higher building material prices, and the overall investment in the facility will be close to Rs1,000 crore as opposed to an earlier estimate of Rs800 crore.

  1. Uno Minda:

According to news reports, the manufacturer of car components is aiming for over 25% growth in its sector over the next 4—5 years as it aims to aggressively access the market. In the entire consolidated revenue of Rs2,555 crore for the quarter that ended June 2022, the B2C segment accounted for 9% at Rs223 crore.

  1. NHPC:

The 500 MW Dugar Hydroelectric Project will be implemented in the Chamba district as per an agreement between the state-owned hydropower company and the Himachal Pradesh government.

  1. New Delhi Television:

In light of the Adani group's open offer to buy a 26% interest in the media company, the broadcasting corporation has postponed its annual general meeting (AGM) by a week, until September 27. The AGM for NDTV was initially planned for September 20.
