Budget expectations: Logistics sector

13 Jan 2022 , 06:37 PM

“The Union budget continues to be significant and we at logistics sector see it as a great opportunity to drive productivity, formalization and growth.  The Union Budget 2022-23 should further the push from the Government for domestic manufacturing and with that the logistics sector would need readiness for increased levels of service integration, higher growth in fulfilment logistics and increased adoption of multi-modal transportation.

Similarly, we expect the budget to focus on strengthening logistic and related infrastructure and expedite connectivity projects in various economic zones thereby helping reduce logistics cost and time, improving productivity and economy.

We also expect the government to make a firm move on National Logistics Policy in this year’s budget which will further the positive impact on nation’s logistics industry as it will help to increase the warehousing capacity and identifying areas for standardization and optimization.”
