Liquified petroleum gas (LPG) prices have increased by ₹ 14, shortly before Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman’s much-awaited delivery of the interim budget on Thursday.
Particularly impacted by the price increase are 19-kilogram commercial LPG gas cylinders, which have seen an increase of ₹ 14. This changed the pricing, and it became effective today, Thursday, February 1.
The retail sales price of a 19 kg commercial LPG cylinder in Delhi would now be ₹ 1,769.50 after the modification. But it’s important to remember that this price increase only applies to business cylinders; home LPG cylinder pricing are unaffected.
The price shift for LPG is expected to have an impact on a number of industries and companies that use commercial LPG for their operations.
