13 May 2024 , 04:01 PM

Bharti Airtel has formed a strategic collaboration with Google Cloud to provide cloud solutions to Indian businesses, aiming to accelerate cloud adoption and modernization. The partnership entails offering a range of cloud solutions from Google Cloud to Airtel’s customers, including over 2,000 large enterprises and one million emerging businesses.

Gopal Vittal, MD & CEO of Bharti Airtel, expressed enthusiasm about the collaboration, emphasizing the potential to deliver secure and scalable cloud solutions for various sectors. The collaboration targets India’s burgeoning public cloud services market, expected to reach $17.8 billion by 2027, as per IDC.

Thomas Kurian, CEO of Google Cloud, highlighted the collaboration’s aim to drive cloud and AI adoption in India and enhance customer experiences. Airtel plans to leverage Google Cloud’s AI capabilities to transform customer interactions across its mobile, broadband, and digital TV services, extending these benefits to B2B customers globally.

The collaboration will focus on developing industry-leading AI/ML solutions, including geospatial analytics, voice analytics, and marketing technology solutions, leveraging Airtel’s vast data set.

Airtel has developed an end-to-end IoT solution for the utility sector, combining connectivity, Google Cloud services, and application software for seamless deployment. A managed services center in Pune with over 300 experts has been set up by Airtel to support its cloud-based solutions business and champion Google Cloud services.
