IndiGo has announced plans to introduce business class services on its flights by the end of 2024, as per an exchange filing dated May 23. The airline will offer the premium class travel option on its busiest and most frequented business routes.
Detailed information regarding the new services, including offers, launch dates, and specific routes, will be revealed in August.
Pieter Elbers, CEO of IndiGo, expressed enthusiasm about this development, highlighting the airline’s strategy to connect people and aspirations through tailored products.
On May 18, InterGlobe Aviation Ltd, the parent company of IndiGo, reported a profit of ₹1,894.8 Crore for the quarter ending March 31, 2024.
This marks IndiGo’s sixth consecutive profitable quarter, attributed to strong demand that offset the impact of rising fuel prices. The airline had posted a net profit of ₹919 Crore in the same quarter the previous year. In Q4FY22, IndiGo had reported a loss of ₹1,680 Crore.
At the time of writing, the stock was trading at ₹4283.05 which is a 2.67% dip than the previous close. The stock has gained over 88% in the last one year, and 43.80% since the beginning of the year.
