Reliance Jio, India’s largest telecom company, saw a notable increase of 41.78 lakh mobile subscribers in January 2024, based on data released by the Telecom Regulatory Authority of India (TRAI).
Bharti Airtel, led by Sunil Mittal, also witnessed growth, adding 7.52 lakh wireless subscribers, bringing its total mobile count to 38.24 Crore for January.
Vodafone Idea, however, faced continued challenges on the subscriber front, losing 15.2 lakh wireless subscribers. Its mobile subscriber base in January dropped to 22.15 Crore, according to TRAI data.
Jio solidified its position in the telecom market with the addition of 41.78 lakh wireless subscribers, resulting in a total mobile user count of 46.39 Crore following the January gains.
