Tata Consultancy Services (TCS) signed a 10-year strategic partnership with Brazil’s Insper on October 30. The agreement includes TCS investing 50 million Brazilian Real (around $8.7 million) to support research and technological initiatives.
Insper, a top education and research institute in Brazil, will work with TCS to innovate in key areas. The partnership aims to address operational challenges, such as minimizing offshore oil rig downtime and improving agricultural yields via satellite geo-sensing.
At the time of closing on November 4, 2024, shares of Tata Consultancy Services (TCS) closed at ₹3967 which is a 0.43% dip than the previous close. Tata Consultancy Services (TCS) shares has witnessed a total of 17% in the last one year, and 4% since the beginning of the year.
TCS will leverage AI with Insper to expedite new drug development, advancing health solutions. The collaboration will foster prototype development, academic research, seminars, hackathons, and tech talks, using TCS’s Pace innovation framework. Target industries for the partnership include banking, insurance, healthcare, manufacturing, and energy sectors across South America.
