Uber has launched its subscription service, Uber One, in India, offering multiple plans to cater to a wide range of users. Here’s what you need to know about Uber One:

• Pricing Options: Uber One offers three subscription plans ₹149 for a monthly plan, ₹349 for a three-month plan, and ₹1,499 for an annual plan, providing flexibility based on budget and usage.
• Exclusive Benefits: Subscribers get Uber Credits, up to ₹150 per trip, and other benefits such as free three-month Zomato Gold membership, ideal for frequent Uber and food delivery users.
• Cancellation Policy: Annual subscribers can cancel their subscription. All membership benefits, including trip credits, are revoked immediately upon cancellation.
• Global Presence: Uber One is available in markets like the US and Canada, and Uber makes its foray into India as part of the company’s effort to develop loyalty in the Indian market that is competitive in nature.
• Competitive Landscape: With Namma Yatri now securing $11 million in funding, it looks like there is more competition emerging for Uber in terms of a driver-friendly subscription feature.

It is also supporting India’s Code on Social Security (CoSS), which encourages gig workers to register on the e-Shram portal, further ensuring safety and benefits for drivers.
