The airline said on Monday that IndiGo has teamed up with travel technology company Amadeus to give travel vendors in India and around the globe access to the airline’s NDC (New Distribution Capability) information via the Amadeus Travel Platform.
Amadeus will be the primary source of support for IndiGo because to its “unique and robust offering, which combines state-of-the-art airline and distribution technology with an unmatched market reach.”
By giving corporate clients and travel agencies direct access to IndiGo’s entire product lineup, NDC streamlines the booking process. This simplifies processes and makes it possible to provide special offers and promotions that are catered to the unique traveller profiles.
With its standardized communications, NDC technology is a key component of the distribution environment. “It opens up new opportunities for airlines to distribute their content to travel sellers even more efficiently and elevate their retailing to next level,” according to the airline.
IndiGo is able to create price-tailored offers and expose them to customers thanks to Amadeus NDC capabilities and smooth integration with airline IT systems powered by Navitaire. This increases ancillary sales and optimizes the customer experience, regardless of which sales channel they swiftly and effectively select, airline says.
