Tata Communications signs 5-year broadcasting deal with World Athletics

Tata Communications announced on Wednesday, June 12, a five-year global host broadcasting services agreement to cover the World Athletics Series events.

“The partnership will sail in another huge year for the sport, which include the World Athletics Relays in Guangzhou in May, World Athletics Indoor Championships in Nanjing in March, and World Athletics Road Running Championships in San Diego in September, along with the flagship World Athletics Championships in Tokyo,” the business stated in a statement.

The World Athletics Championships will take place on September 13-21, 2025. The event is “which regularly draws a global viewing audience of one billion people,” according to the firm.

It also stated that it will allow World Athletics to captivate a global fan base. The company will provide bespoke, world-class live content to broadcasters on all continents. It will ensure that the action reaches fans all over the world.

As the host broadcaster, it will be responsible for creating immersive coverage of World Athletics events around the world. Furthermore, Tata Communications will help broadcasters improve the user experience and build a connected fan base by providing customised regional feeds, according to the business.
