Axis Bank Ltd Surges 2.94%, S&P BSE BANKEX index Gains 2.01%

Axis Bank Ltd gained 2.94% today to trade at Rs 744.95. The S&P BSE BANKEX index is up 2.01% to quote at 41768.16. The index is down 4.37 % over last one month. Among the other constituents of the index, IndusInd Bank Ltd increased 1.96% and Kotak Mahindra Bank Ltd added 1.96% on the day. The S&P BSE BANKEX index went up 8.2 % over last one year compared to the 15.82% surge in benchmark SENSEX.

Axis Bank Ltd has lost 6.48% over last one month compared to 4.37% fall in S&P BSE BANKEX index and 0.8% drop in the SENSEX. On the BSE, 43621 shares were traded in the counter so far compared with average daily volumes of 3.74 lakh shares in the past one month. The stock hit a record high of Rs 866.6 on 25 Oct 2021. The stock hit a 52-week low of Rs 626.4 on 12 Apr 2021.
