Bharti Airtel shares experienced a slight increase in morning trade on September 28 following the Telecom Regulatory Authority of India’s (TRAI) July subscription data release, indicating a net addition of 15.17 lakh subscribers.
TRAI’s report for June had previously noted a net addition of 14.1 lakh subscribers for the telecom company. After the July update, Bharti Airtel holds a market share of 32.74 % in the wireless subscribers segment.
In the June quarter, the company reported a 14.12 % year-on-year (YoY) increase in revenue from operations, reaching Rs 37,440 crore. However, net profit witnessed a 38.43 % YoY decline, amounting to Rs 1,520 crore.
The company’s operating profit margins expanded by 200 basis points on a yearly basis to 52 %. Bharti Airtel is a prominent telecommunication services provider, offering a range of services including mobile voice and data, broadband, digital TV, and enterprise solutions.
