Canara Bank spurts 0.93%, rises for fifth straight session

Canara Bank is up for a fifth straight session today. The stock is quoting at Rs 286.85, up 0.93% on the day as on 12:44 IST on the NSE. The benchmark NIFTY is up around 0.16% on the day, quoting at 17685.35. The Sensex is at 59598.85, up 0.09%. Canara Bank has gained around 36.6% in last one month. Meanwhile, Nifty Pharma index of which Canara Bank is a constituent, has gained around 19.62% in last one month and is currently quoting at 3427, up 0.32% on the day. The volume in the stock stood at 157.12 lakh shares today, compared to the daily average of 149.93 lakh shares in last one month. The benchmark October futures contract for the stock is quoting at Rs 287.2, up 1.13% on the day.
