Cipla appoints Ashish Adukia as Global CFO and KMP; stock rises

Cipla Limited informed that the Board of Directors of the company has approved the appointment of Ashish Adukia as the Global Chief Financial Officer and Key Managerial Personnel of the Company.

The company further stated that Ashish’s appointment will release Dinesh Jain from the additional responsibility of interim Chief Financial Officer. However, he will continue his position as Senior Vice-President & Head-Corporate Finance.

Ashish’s appointment shall be effective from August 16, 2022.

Ashish brings in two decades of rich experience spanning across investment banking and a large Indian conglomerate. Ashish previously worked as the Chief Financial Officer of Grasim Industries, the flagship company of the Aditya Birla Group (ABG), and was a member of the leadership team.

Ashish is a JBIMS MMS (Finance) graduate and Chartered Accountant. He was named in Fortune India’s 40 under 40 list in 2017.

At around 9.26 AM, Cipla was trading at Rs1,035.90 per piece, up by 0.2% from its previous closing of Rs1,033.85 on the BSE. The scrip opened at Rs1,034.90 and touched intraday high and low of Rs1,041.65 and Rs1,032.20 respectively.
