COMEX Copper Sizzles, Soaring Equities Push Metal Near Two Week Top

COMEX Copper futures hit near two week high of $3.60 per pound amid soaring global equities and a slide in the US dollar index. Asian markets moved up on Monday with excellent gains in Hong Kong stocks. European shares moved up in a solid manner with major indices jumping in excess of 1%. The US stocks rose impressively. The Dow jumped 377.19 points or 1.2 percent to 32,151.71, the Nasdaq surged 250.18 points or 2.1 percent to 12,112.31 and the S&P 500 shot up 61.18 points or 1.5 percent to 4,067.36.
