Dalmia Bharat stock price down by more than 2% today

Tuesday’s intra-day trade on the BSE saw Dalmia Bharat shares decline by more than 2% to Rs 1,817.55 after the  announcement of acquisition offer for Jaiprakash’s cement and power plants. An enterprise value of Rs 5,666 crore would be used for the acquisition above.

Despite today’s decline, Dalmia Bharat’s stock price surpassed the market by rising 10%, as opposed to the S&P BSE Sensex’s 0.80% increase. Compared to the benchmark index’s 18% growth over the past three months, it has increased by 46%. Jaiprakash Associates (JALmarket )’s price fell 13% from its intraday high today to Rs 10.81, a decline of 8%. Furthermore, in intraday trades on the BSE, Jaiprakash Power Ventures saw a 5% decline to Rs 7.90.
