Reliance Industries and TCS emerged as the biggest gainers last week, as the aggregate market valuation of seven of the ten most valued companies increased by Rs1,01,043.69 crore. In the previous week, the 30-share BSE Sensex increased by 764.37 points or 1.33 %. On Wednesday due to Dussehra, the local equities markets were closed.
Reliance Industries Ltd. (RIL) was valued in the market at Rs16,46,182.66 crore after increasing by Rs37,581.61 crore. Tata Consultancy Services (TCS) increased its valuation by Rs22,082.37 crore, bringing it to Rs11,21,480.95 crore.
The market value of ICICI Bank increased by Rs13,433.27 crore to Rs6,14,589.87 crore, while that of Infosys increased by Rs16,263.25 crore to Rs6,10,871.36 crore.vMarket capitalization (mcap) of HDFC increased by Rs6,733.19 to Rs4,22,810.22 and that of HDFC Bank by Rs4,623.07 to Rs7,96,894.04 respectively.
Bajaj Finance increased its value by Rs326.93 crore, bringing it to Rs4,44,563.66 crore. The value of Hindustan Unilever, however, dropped from Rs6,10,623.53 crore to Rs23,025.99 crore. Bharti Airtel’s market capitalization (mcap) fell by Rs3,532.65 crore to Rs4,41,386.80 crore, while State Bank of India (SBIfell )’s by Rs624.73 crore to Rs4,73,316.78 crore.
Reliance Industries ranked first among the top 10 corporations, with TCS, HDFC Bank, ICICI Bank, Infosys, Hindustan Unilever, SBI, Bajaj Finance, Bharti Airtel, and HDFC following.
