According to provisional results of the Federal Statistical Office (Destatis), the real (price-adjusted) turnover of retail enterprises in Germany was 1.9% and the nominal (not price-adjusted) turnover was 2.4% higher in July 2022, on a calendar and seasonally adjusted basis, than in June 2022. Compared with July 2021, retail trade recorded a 2.6% decrease in turnover in real terms and a nominal increase of 6.1% in July 2022.
