In March 2023, Escorts Kubota Limited’s Agri Machinery division reported the sale of 10,305 tractors, indicating a 2.3% increase compared to the 10,074 tractors sold in March 2022.
In the month of March 2023, the domestic sales of tractors is reported at 9,601 units, demonstrating a 1.2% increment in contrast to the 9,483 tractors sold during the same month in the previous year, March 2022.
Furthermore, the export sales of tractors during the month of March 2023 reached 704 units, indicating a growth of 19.1% as compared to the 591 tractors sold in March 2022.
Despite the March holiday season, retail sales were hampered by unseasonal rain and crop damage in some areas. However, with continued government support, higher crop prices, improved finance availability, and adequate water reservoir levels, the company anticipates that similar demand momentum will continue across geographies in the coming quarter.
At around 12.04 PM, Escorts Kubota was trading 0.46% lower at Rs1,882.20 apiece, against the previous close of Rs1,891.02 on NSE. The counter touched an intraday high and low of Rs1,929.85 and Rs1,877.55 respectively.
