Highway tolls are collected via FASTag, an electronic system that makes it more simpler to pay toll taxes at toll plazas.
Before the deadline of January 31, FASTag KYC details must be updated, according to the National Highway Authority of India (NHAI). After January 31, 2024, banks will deactivate or blacklist all FASTags with insufficient Know Your Customer (KYC) updates, even in circumstances when there is sufficient balance, according to the NHAI.
Highway tolls are collected via FASTag, an electronic system that makes it more simpler to pay toll taxes at toll plazas. The tag, which is linked to a bank account or prepaid card, is placed on the windshield of the vehicle. When a vehicle approaching the toll booth with a FASTag attached, RFID technology is used. After reading the tag, the scanner subtracts the toll.
