GAIL declares second interim dividend of Rs5 per share

GAIL (India) Ltd., a state-owned gas utility, has declared a second interim dividend of Rs5 per share (50%) for the current fiscal year. The company’s total dividend payout will be Rs2,220.19 crore. The company fixed the record date at March 22, 2022.

Prior to this, the GAIL has already declared an interim dividend of Rs4 per share to its shareholders in December 2021. The two interim dividends equal Rs9 equity shares of Rs10 each. So far, the total dividend payout is Rs3,996.35 crore.

The government of India’s current shareholding is 51.45%, and shall be given Rs1,142.20 crore shall be paid to the government and Rs1,077.90 crore to the shareholders.

GAIL India’s stock was trading at Rs152.65 against its previous closing price of Rs152.45, up by 0.13%. It touched an intraday high and low of Rs156.45 and Rs152.30 respectively.
