HAL to exhibit various indigenously built products in DefExpo 2022

Hindustan Aeronautics Limited announced on Friday that it is prepared to exhibit its homegrown goods at the 12th DefExpo, which will take place in Gandhinagar from October 18 to 22.

According to the Bengaluru-based company, “HAL’s participation will focus on technological excellence and indigenization initiatives, under its business verticals such as fighters, trainers, transport aircraft, helicopters, engines, systems, and avionics, in addition to projecting the company’s futuristic programs.”

HAL announced in a statement that it would feature a special “Indigenization Exhibition Stall” for the active involvement and interaction of Indian industrial partners. In order to draw Indian industry, more than 200 imported goods that are slated for indigenization with private enterprises will be on show in this stall. Up to 26 existing indigenously made products will be on show.

The company announced that it plans to release a document detailing HAL’s indigenization success, hand over “Project Sanction Orders” for items on the Positive Indigenisation List to Indian Private Partners, hand over approvals/clearance certificates to industry partners for indigenized items, and launch an Indigenisation – Supplier Relationship Management portal.

During the show, the Light Combat Helicopter “Prachand” from HAL will be on display in the Outdoor Display area.

During the event, HAL will also display the scaled models of the LCA, LCH, LUH, ALH, Do-228, and HTT-40.

At the HAL stall, a selection of avionics, accessories, products, and components will be on display. These include the Indigenous Engine & Flight Display Unit, Mission Computer & Interface Computer, Digital Map Generator, Fly by Wire Data Acquisition Unit, Enhanced Flight Data Recorder, Gunner Pilot Control Unit, and Automatic Identification System.

HAL will also display 29 goods in the India Pavilion, 12 of which will be through display posters and product videos, and 17 of which would be scaled models.
