How to link PAN card with LIC insurance policy for LIC IPO

The largest-ever IPO in the history of the Indian market Life Insurance Corporation (LIC) is all set to kick off for subscriptions on March 11 for anchor investors. For other types of investors, including retail investors, LIC IPO will open in the next few days. Before applying to the IPO, policyholders must link their PAN cards.

As LIC India has made it clear that those life insurance policyholders who want to apply under the policyholders’ category must have their PAN card linked to their policy.

In case, one’s LIC policy is not linked to its PAN card, the insurer has asked the policyholders to do this by February 28th, 2022.

As per LIC in its latest statement said “A policyholder of our Corporation shall ensure that his / her PAN details are updated in the policy records of our Corporation at the earliest. A policyholder who has not updated his / her PAN details with our Corporation before the expiry of two weeks from the date of the filing of this Draft Red Herring Prospectus with SEBI (i.e., by February 28, 2022) shall not be considered as an Eligible Policyholder.”

Here are the steps to follow LIC India PAN card link:

• First, go to the official LIC website
• Select the ‘Online PAN Registration’ option and next click on Proceed option.
• Enter your e-mail ID which you have used in the registration, PAN number, mobile phone number and policy number.
• Once you are done with this complete Captcha verification and click on the ‘Get OTP’ button and the last select Submit option.
• Once done with the above procedure, you will see a message for the success of the PAN linking process.
