Indices end flat after hitting new highs

On May 27, Indian equity indices ended the session almost flat despite hitting record highs earlier in the day. The Sensex closed down by 19.89 points, or 0.03%, at 75,390.50, while the Nifty fell by 24.60 points, or 0.11%, to 22,932.50. Market breadth was negative with 1,599 shares advancing, 1,868 shares declining, and 116 shares remaining unchanged.
