Indraprastha Gas appoints Kamal Kishore Chatiwal as Managing Director

Indraprastha Gas Limited informed that GAIL (India) Limited has nominated Kamal Kishore Chatiwal as the Managing Director of the company. 

Kamal will take over charge from Sanjay Kumar effective from June 15, 2023. Sanjay has ceased to be the Director and Managing Director from June 15, 2023.

Kamal holds a B. Tech degree in Chemical Engineering from IIT Delhi. He possesses over 32 years of experience in the Oil & Gas sector, with a strong focus on project execution and commissioning of large-scale petrochemical projects. 

He has also gained expertise in the operation and maintenance of gas processing units, natural gas compressor stations, and cross-country LPG pipelines.

Kamal has further enhanced his knowledge in management and leadership by completing executive management programs from esteemed institutions such as IIM Bangalore, IIM Lucknow, and ISB Hyderabad. He began his professional journey with GAIL (India) Ltd in 1990 and held various positions within the organization. 

Prior to assuming the role of Managing Director at IGL, he served as the Executive Director for Operations & Maintenance (O&M) and Head of Zonal Marketing in Jaipur.
