LPG cylinder price trimmed by Rs102.50

The oil companies have given a new year gift to citizens across India by slashing LPG price by 102.50cr in the 19 kg commercial cylinder starting January 01, 2022.

As per data on Indian Oil’s website, a 19kg LPG cylinder will now cost Rs1,998.5 in Delhi, at Rs1,948.5 in Mumbai, at Rs2,072 in Kolkata and Rs2,132 in Chennai.

This comes as a relief to customers as it would be the first reduction in 19kg cylinder since October 06. The price of a standard 19kg cylinder has gone up to Rs2101 on December 1 which was the costliest price of the commercial cylinder after 2012-13 when it was available at Rs2,200 per cylinder.

Notably, the prices of standard 14.2kg per cylinder remain the same.

A standard 14.2kg cylinder is available at Rs899.50 in Delhi and Mumbai. The prices were at Rs926 and 915.50 on the respective commercial cylinder in Kolkata and Chennai.
