Hindustan Aeronautics Limited has informed that following the ALH Dhruv accident off the coast of Mumbai, the Navy has suspended ALH Dhruv Helicopter operations until investigators determine the cause of the incident and precautionary checks are completed.
HAL stated in its filing with the exchanges that, “HAL has already taken measures to collaborate closely with its customers to ensure that their fleet is functioning at full capacity.”
Recently, HAL also signed contract with the Defence Ministry to transfer 6 Dornier Aircraft worth Rs667 crore.
The Dornier-228 is a flexible and adaptable light transport aircraft that can accommodate up to 19 passengers. Its design caters specifically to tasks such as transportation for both utility and commuter purposes, air-taxi operations, as well as coast guard duties and surveillance in maritime environments.
At around 2.39 PM, HAL was trading 1.84% lower at Rs2,797 per piece, against the previous close of Rs2,849.30 on NSE. The counter touched an intraday high and low of Rs2,914 and Rs2,787.50 respectively.
