Seven stocks banned from trading on Monday, December 18, 2023, in NSE’s futures and options (F&O) segment. Ban initiated due to securities exceeding 95% of the market-wide position limit (MWPL) set by NSE.
Banned stocks: Balrampur Chini Mills, Delta Corp, Manappuram Finance, Hindustan Copper, India Cements, SAIL, and ZEEL.
Despite the F&O ban, these stocks remain tradable in the cash market. NSE updates the F&O ban list daily based on derivative contracts crossing 95% of MWPL.
Clients/members allowed to trade in banned securities’ derivative contracts only to reduce positions through offsetting. Open position increase during the ban period attracts penal and disciplinary action.
No fresh positions are permitted for F&O contracts in banned stocks during the ban period.
