The Uttar Pradesh government has been successful in luring beverage manufacturing facilities to Gorakhpur, Amethi, Prayagraj, and Chitrakoot through its investment promotion agency Invest UP.
Fast-track mode was used to provide land to Varun Beverages Ltd, the PepsiCo franchisee for all of India, so that they may put up their production facilities for carbonated soft drinks, fruit pulp drinks, and juice-based beverages.
With an expected 5,650 job opportunities, the firm has proposed investing a total of Rs3,740 crore across the four businesses. According to Abhishek Prakash, CEO of Invest UP, “Policy of fast-track land allotment and promotion of big projects in the state are proven to be key accelerators in attracting investment in the state.” “Under the direction of Industrial Development Minister Nand Gopal Gupta ‘Nandi’ and Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath.”
According to additional CEO Prathamesh Kumar, Varun Beverages Ltd. has been granted quick access to a 45-acre parcel of land in the Gorakhpur hamlet of Narkatha. The company plans to invest Rs1071.28 crore here, creating almost 1,500 job possibilities.
Varun Beverages Ltd has sought to invest roughly Rs496.57 crore and create up to 1,000 employment with the allocation of 68.6 acres of land in Chitrakoot’s Bargarh Industrial Area. Approximately 24.7 acres of land in Saraswati Hi-Tech City, Naini-Prayagraj, have been allotted, and the investor has proposed investing Rs1,052.57 crore there with 1,500 job opportunities, while 26.1 acres of land in Trishundi Industrial Area, Amethi, have been allotted, with a proposed investment of Rs 1,119.59 crores there with 1,650 expected jobs.
