Prices of fuel on September 15

The cost of gasoline and diesel in all metro regions was unchanged on September 15 according to the most recent price notice distributed by fuel retailers.

More than a month has passed since there was a price adjustment for petrol. A litre of petrol costs Rs96.72 in Delhi, while a liter of diesel costs Rs89.62. Diesel costs Rs94.27 and gasoline costs Rs106.31 per liter in Mumbai. In Chennai, the prices for gas and diesel are Rs102.63 and Rs94.24, while in Kolkata, they are Rs106.03 and Rs92.76.

Thursday morning’s early Asian trading witnessed a little rise in oil prices as markets were encouraged by supply issues and the possibility of a training shutdown in the US, the world’s largest consumer of petroleum.

By 00:13 GMT, the price of Brent oil futures had increased by 38 cents, or 0.4 percent, to $94.48 per barrel, while the price of US West Texas Intermediate crude had increased by 46 cents, or 0.5 %, to $88.94. On Wednesday, the dollar index fell 0.14 %, erasing gains from the previous session and increasing demand from holders of other currencies for commodities priced in the dollar, such as crude oil.

The International Energy Agency (IEA) announced on Wednesday that it anticipates a broad conversion from gas to oil for heating, predicting that demand will double from October 2022 to March 2023 to an average of 700,000 barrels per day (bpd). This, combined with general projections for sluggish supply growth, supported the market’s development.
