According to the most recent price notice sent out by fuel dealers, the price of gasoline and diesel remained stable on August 16. Over a month has passed with no change in pricing.
The price of a liter of gasoline in Mumbai is Rs106.31, whereas the price of a liter of diesel is Rs94.27. Petrol and diesel are priced at Rs96.72 and Rs89.62, respectively, in Delhi. These prices are in comparison to Chennai and Kolkata, respectively, which charge Rs102.63 and Rs94.24 for gasoline and diesel, respectively.
Several reports suggest that petrol marketing businesses lose up to Rs13.08 on each liter, and diesel marketing businesses lose up to Rs24.09 per liter. The majority of India’s gasoline needs are imported.
