Reliance Jio brings Jio True 5G to Assam

Reliance Jio announced that Himanta Biswa Sarma, the Honourable Chief Minister of Assam, launched Jio True 5G services in Assam at an event in Guwahati. Along with its True 5G services in Guwahati, Jio also launched True 5G-Powered Wi-Fi services at the Maa Kamakhya Temple complex.

Among the numerous advantages of True 5G, healthcare was chosen as the sector for this demonstration because True 5G not only enriches lives but also has the potential to save lives in difficult times.

Innovative solutions such as the Jio Community Clinic medical kit, AR-VR-based healthcare with JioGlass, and Smart Healthcare Solutions such as Tele Radiology and Connected Ambulance were on display.

These healthcare solutions have the potential to improve healthcare quality in urban India while also assisting in the spread of quality healthcare infrastructure to the country’s most remote areas, effecting the lives of over a billion people.

In addition to their existing investment of Rs9,500 crore, Jio is investing over Rs2,500 crore to deploy a True 5G network in Assam, demonstrating their deep commitment to the development of the State. Jio True 5G services will be available in every town and taluka in Assam by December 2023.
