Royal Enfield, a manufacturer of motorcycles, stated on Monday that its total sales increased by 18% in April 2023 to 73,136 units from 62,155 units in the same month the previous year. According to a statement from the company, domestic sales increased by 28% to 68,881 units from 53,852 units in the same month last year.
However, compared to 8,303 months in April 2022, exports fell by 49% last month to 4,255 units.
After ending FY23 on a good note, Royal Enfield CEO B Govindarajan told ET that the company has started FY24 on a solid platform.
He added, ‘I am sure that these motorcycles will continue to perform well and strengthen our foothold in these markets.’ The business recently released its Hunter 350 and Scram 411 models in the USA and Latin American markets.
