Sandur Manganese said that it has successfully commissioned 33 MW Solar Power Plant and 3X3300 KW, 9.9 MW Wind Turbine Generators with associated electrical equipments interconnecting the power with Karnataka Power Transmission Corporation Limited (KPTCL) grid. The company has commissioned the said project at Kudligi Taluk, Vijayanagara District, Karnataka State.
The company has earlier entered into power purchase and share subscription and shareholders agreement with Renew Green Energy Solutions Private Limited (ReNew).
As per the terms of agreement, Sandur Manganese was to supply renewable energy to the company and its associates.
“With the successful commissioning and injection of the above power into the grid, the goal of the rights issue as mentioned in the letter dated July 22, 2022, namely the procurement of power at a lower cost to operate all three existing furnaces of the ferroalloy plant and other expansion activities at Vyasankere, Hosapete Taluk, Vijayanagara District, Karnataka State, has been met,” stated the company in its media filing.
Following this development, Sandur Manganese was trading 0.69% higher at Rs 1,295.25 per piece, against the previous close of Rs 1,286.40 on NSE.
