Sensex and Nifty in Green on May 12, 2025

The Indian Benchmark Index Sensex and Nifty trading in green on May 12, 2025. At 2:10 pm, Sensex is trading at 82,169 (3.42%), a 2714 points gain over the previous close. Nifty is trading at 24,858 (3.54%), a 850 point gain from the last close. 

In the National Stock Exchange, 2410 shares advances and 239 stocks declines. In Nifty 50, 48 stocks are trading in green, and 2 stocks are trading in red. Sector wise, Nifty Pharma and Nifty Healthcare on the weaker note when compared to all the other sectoral indices. 

In Sensex, HCL Tech, Infosys, Tata Steel, Tech Mahindra are the top gainers. Top losers in Sensex include IndusInd Bank, Sun Pharma.  In Nifty, Adani Enterpris, Infosys, Shriram Finance, Wipro are the top gainers. Top losers in Nifty include IndusInd Bank, Sun Pharma.  In the broader market, the BSE Midcap index trades at a 3.67% gain, whereas the BSE Small cap Index trades at a 4.01% gain to the previous close.
