The Indian Benchmark Index Sensex and Nifty trading in red on May 8, 2025. At 2:05 pm, Sensex is trading at 80,602 (0.18%), a 144 points dip over the previous close. Nifty is trading at 24,329 (0.35%), a 84 point dip from the last close. 

In the National Stock Exchange, 1133 shares advances and 1381 stocks declines. In Nifty 50, 14 stocks are trading in green, and 35 stocks are trading in red. Sector wise, Nifty Media, IT and Pvt Bank are the three sectors trading in Green, and all the other sector are trading in red.

In Sensex, HCL Tech, Titan Company, Axis Bank, Tata Motors are the top gainers. Top losers in Sensex include Eternal, M&M, Maruti Suzuki, Tata Steel. ICICI Bank is the only stock that hits 52-week high in Sensex.

In Nifty, HCL Tech, Axis Bank, Titan Company, Tata Motors are the top gainers. Top losers in Nifty include Eternal, Tata Cons prod, Eicher motors, M&M. ICICI Bank is the only stock that hits 52-week high in Nifty. In the broader market, BSE Mid cap index is trading with a 1.08% dip, BSE Small cap index is trading with a 0.057% dip.
