SML Isuzu appoints Masaki Morohoshi on Board; stock dips ~2%

SML Isuzu approved the appointment of Mr. Masaki Morohoshi, as an Additional Director of the Company on a rotation basis (Category: Non-Executive Non-Independent Director) effective from April 1, 2022.

Mr. Masaki Morohoshi is a graduate of Waseda University of Tokyo, Japan. He joined Sumitomo Corporation, Japan in April 1987 and since then has held several positions in various departments including Motor Vehicles Department, Steel Sheets & Strip International Trade Department, Sumitomo Corporation Jakarta Liaison Office (Jakarta), etc.

Mr. Morohoshi has been on the Board of SML Isuzu Limited and the Chairman & Managing Director of Sumitomo Corporation India Private Limited from March 2018 to March 2021.

Presently, he is Corporate Officer, Sumitomo Corporation and General Manager, Steel Products Division, Sumitomo Corporation, Japan.

SML ISUZU is currently trading at Rs493.25 down by Rs8.45 or 1.68% from its previous closing of Rs501.70 on the BSE. It touched today’s high and low of Rs507 and Rs493.25 respectively.
