On Monday, Gentari, a company that offers eco-friendly energy solutions, revealed that it has inked a deal with Tata Motors to supply 5,000 e-commercial vehicles. Gentari stated in a press release that this agreement, which was signed with one of its associated organizations, has a three-year term.
As per the Memorandum of Understanding (MoU), Tata Motors will provide 5,000 Tata Ace EV units over a period of three years, with the initial delivery of 1,000 units set for the first year. These units will be deployed in various cities such as Delhi, Bengaluru, Hyderabad, Pune, and Kolkata.
According to MoEVing’s CEO Vikash Mishra, the arrival of top-notch electric four-wheelers in the market creates a completely new category for electrification in the urban delivery system.
‘We are thrilled to be collaborating with Gentari on the deployment of three and four-wheeled commercial electric vehicles across India in order to reduce the carbon footprint of deliveries.
We hope to bring change on the ground and electrify deliveries for e-commerce, e-grocery, the logistics segment, and now also large FMCG and traditional companies, with our operations, charging, and maintenance footprint spanning India,’ Mishra added.
