  1. Power Grid: The board of directors has approved a fund raise of up to Rs 5,700 crore during this fiscal year through multiple tranches via bonds and NCDs on a private-placement basis. In the first tranche, the company is raising Rs 500 crore, with a green shoe option for an additional Rs 1,400 crore.
  2. Piramal Enterprises: The company’s board of directors has given approval for a buyback of equity shares up to 1.4 crore, priced at Rs 1,250 per share, totaling Rs 1,750 crore, via the tender offer route.
  3. Gland Pharma: The USFDA has concluded its inspection at the company’s VSEZ Sterile Oncology facility with zero observations.
  4. Marico: Marico reported a consolidated net profit of Rs 427 crore for the April-June period, marking a 15% increase. However, the revenue from operations declined by 3% to Rs 2,477 crore during the same period.
  5. Shree Cement: Shree Cement’s wholly-owned subsidiary, Shree Cement East, has commenced commercial production at its clinker grinding unit in West Bengal, with a cement capacity of 3.0 MTPA.
  6. NTPC: The largest power generation company in the country has reported a robust 9.4% year-on-year growth in standalone profit, reaching Rs 4,066 crore for the quarter ending in June FY24, primarily fueled by a strong operating performance.
  7. RVNL: The company has finalized an agreement with joint venture partners for the Vande Bharat trains. In the partnership, RVNL will hold a 25% stake, Metrowagonmash will have 70%, and Joint Stock Company Locomotive Electronic Systems will have a 5% stake.
  8. SBI Cards: The credit card issuing company has reported a 5% year-on-year decrease in profit, amounting to Rs 593 crore for the quarter ended June FY24.
  9. Godrej Properties: The real estate developer has announced that the board members will convene on August 2 to deliberate on the proposal of raising funds through the issuance of debt securities via private placement.
  10. Maruti Suzuki, Adani Green, Power Grid: The companies to announce their Q1FY24 results today.
