According to an official statement released on Wednesday the state-owned Coal India Limited (CIL) and trade unions had agreed to a 19% minimum guaranteed benefit of the monthly emolument, benefiting 2.38 lakh non-executive workers.
The Ministry of Coal stated that the Coal India Limited (CIL) company and four major trade unions (BMS, HMS, AITUC, and CITU) have agreed to a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) that recommends a minimum guaranteed benefit of 19% for 238,000 non-executive employees as part of the National Coal Wage Agreement-XI (NCWA-XI).
CIL and Trade Unions signed the agreement in Kolkata on Tuesday.
The MGB benefit of 19% will be applied to the total salary, including basic pay, variable dearness allowance, special dearness allowance, and attendance bonus, of non-executive employees as of June 30, 2021.
Singareni Collieries Company Limited (SCCL), based in Telangana was also a signatory to this MoU.
