Vodafone Idea Ltd’s consolidated net loss increased to Rs 8,738 crore for the quarter ended September 2023. The previous June quarter’s loss was Rs 7,840 crore, while the loss in the previous corresponding quarter stood at Rs 7,595 crore.
Revenue from operations increased by 0.9% in the second quarter to Rs 10,716 crore, compared to Rs 10,615 crore in the same quarter previous year. ARPU (average revenue per user) for the reporting period was Rs 142, up from Rs 139 in the previous quarter, representing a 2.1% sequential increase.
EBITDA for the period increased by 3% quarter-on-quarter (QoQ) to Rs 4,280 crore from Rs 4,160 crore in Q1FY24. The EBITDA margin was 40%.
The 4G subscriber base increased for the ninth consecutive quarter, reaching 124.7 million in September 2023, up from 122.9 million in Q1FY24, a 1.8 million increase.
As of September 30, 2023, the total gross debt (excluding lease liabilities and including interest accrued but not due) remained at Rs 2.12 lakh crore, including postponed spectrum payment commitments of Rs 1.35 lakh crore and AGR liability of Rs 68,180 crore owed to the government.
Meanwhile, the net debt came in at Rs 2.12 lakh crore.
