Wipro is revamping its Chief Growth Office (CGO), as part of which the IT services giant announced on December 8 that its Chief Growth Officer Stephanie Trautman is stepping down and will leave the firm on December 31, 2023.
In recent months, the business has been combining the Strategic Pursuits team, which was formerly under the CGO, into Strategic Market Units (SMUs).
Thierry Delaporte, CEO and MD of Wipro stated that by doing so, the business expanded on the procedures and techniques created by the CGO and brought this experienced staff closer to customers and on-the-ground sales teams.
According to Delaporte, the growth office was set up three years ago to reinvent the company’s approach to large deals, account development, partnerships, and sales processes, as well as to develop a blueprint for building strategic solutions for clients.
Trautman stated in her resignation letter that she has opted to pursue her career and personal aspirations outside of Wipro.
Trautman, who is based in the United States, joined Wipro three years ago. She manages Wipro’s relationships with hyper-growth partners, provides market intelligence through advisors and analysts, enhances Wipro’s brand awareness, and develops sales capabilities as chief growth officer.
