VA TECH WABAG reported 27.28% yoy rise in consolidated net revenues for the Mar-21 quarter at Rs999.25cr. On a sequential basis, net sales revenues were up 25.53% compared to total revenues in the Dec-20 quarter at Rs796.02cr.

Full year revenues for FY21 were 10.8% higher yoy at Rs2,835cr due to strong traction on factory orders. During the quarter, the company saw a 36.7% growth in the India revenues to Rs365cr while the international revenues of the company grew 29.2% at Rs712cr. Government contracts are a risk.

Net profits in the Mar-21 were up 52.7% at Rs46.53cr on the back of growth in EBITDA performance of India and global business. The EBITDA of the India business was up 6.52% at Rs58.46cr while the EBITDA of the global business was up 19.97% at Rs132.61cr.

Net margins for the Mar-21 quarter at 4.66% was higher than 3.88% in the Mar-20 quarter but lower than the sequential Dec-20 quarter at 5.25%. The company has some major recoverable amounts on some of its contracts, some of which are under litigation.
